About Scott
Scott has been involved in both elite sport and with everyday people for over 20 years, as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, Exercise Physiologist and Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist.
Young people and making sure they stay healthy and active is a particular passion for him. In 2019 he launched the Young Athlete Podcast - a show dedicated to helping parents and coaches of young athletes get access to some of the best information out there to look after your young athlete. Apart from being a practitioner, Scott has also coached young athletes at club, junior development and representative level - most recently he was coaching co-ordinator from 2017-2019 for the Leichhardt Cygnets Junior AFL Club. Scott is currently the Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist for Orange City Rugby Club. He is a candidate in the Specialisation Training Program through the Australian College of Physiotherapists, Scott will sit his final exams in 2023. Specialisation as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists is conferred upon physiotherapists who have attained the highest level of expertise in their particular field of physiotherapy - in this case Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy. These physiotherapists have successfully completed a rigorous training and examination process. Scott's elite sport background covers a range of sports, in 2011 & 2102 he was the Rehabilitation Coordinator and one of the Sports Physiotherapists for the Adelaide Crows. Scott has worked with many teams and individuals including;
Scott has taught on undergraduate and post graduate courses for Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy, and Exercise and Sports Science. He currently teaches on the Master of Sports Medicine Program for the University of Melbourne. |
