ACL Surgical Management

ACL Surgery

If you are considering ACL Reconstruction Surgery (ACLR), in most cases it is important to commence rehab ASAP.  ACLR is recommended for several reasons;

  • Your knee is unstable after trying a period of rehab
  • You have injured multiple structures in your knee
  • You are a professional athlete and time is a factor in your rehab and recovery for contractual or financial reasons

Post operative rehab is CRITICAL to your success after ACLR and aim to return to sport at 12 months or longer.

Neither Surgical nor Non-Surgical Management will guarantee an uncomplicated return to sport after and ACL Injury. There is no one treatment that guarantees your knee will be "fixed"
