Neurocognitive testing is an online tool for assessing baseline function or post-injury function.
We use ImPACT to provide this platform to assess your visual and verbal memory, reaction time, and processing speed to help determine your pre-injury function, or your recovery. This is a test you can complete online at home with your own computer or tablet. Testing takes 20-30 minutes. You can purchase a baseline test or post concussion test using one of the links below.
Effective baseline (or pre-injury) screening and post-concussion testing needs to be multi-modal. That means a range of tools are ideal to help either assess your current function before you have a concussion or to determine your recovery after a concussion has occurred.
We recommend baseline or post-injury testing includes NeuroFlex, ImPact, and physical test measures. This gives you a more complete assessment of your current function and to help guide your treatment and recovery if you have had a concussion. |
ImPACT for Children aged 5-11 years of age.
There is also a specific iPad based assessment for children aged 5-11. Due to the age of your child this is a test that needs to be conducted in person at present. You can book an appointment online using one of the booking links on this page. |
Computerised or online neurocognitive testing is an excellent tool to help assess pre-injury function or post concussion recovery. ImPACT has a large database that can be used as a reference against your recovery is you don't have a baseline test. This is not a tool to be used in isolation and you must always work with your doctor and physiotherapist in your recovery.
