Hamstring injury last season - Am I good to go?
Bill** had a right hamstring injury last year (2021) playing Rugby Union and missed 6 weeks. He completed a graduated program of rehabilitation and return to running, and played the last 3 games of the season. Bill felt comfortable in the games, but didn't run at top speed to make sure he didn't reinjure.
Over the summer he has been going to the gym and working on his hamstring strength. ** Not his actual name. This example is an illustration of how an Athletic Performance Profile can help and does not relate to a real person. |
An Athletic Performance Profile was conducted - in particular the results from the NordBord, ForceDecks and HumanTrak were helpful to identify key areas of improvement.
Despite all of Bill's good work, the NordBord Testing showed a clear difference between his left and right hamstring. ForceDecks Testing showed reactive strength in the Counter Movement Jump and Single Leg Hop were reduced on the right leg HumanTrak demonstrated poor single leg control on the right leg vs left leg. The above information was then used to prescribe a specific program for Bill based on his needs identified in the assessment. |
